HIGH-ALTITUDE WEATHER BALLOON LAUNCH
On Saturday, March 25th, join the other 4 MBUSD elementary schools at Mira Costa High School's football field to watch a high-altitude weather balloon leave the Earth! We will begin filling the balloon at 8 AM for a 9 AM launch (weather-permitting). All are welcome- bring your neighbors for a unique and exciting experience! We'll be done by 9:30 AM.
This year's ground crew from Meadows is composed of 6 science focused 4th grade students. They've been prepping during lunch, and are ready to represent Meadows!
Want to track the balloon this year? Go to http://aprs.fi, and under the call-sign, type in km6bwb-11 (Mrs. Michael's ham radio call sign!). You'll be able to track the location and altitude in real time!
Questions? E-mail Mrs. Michael, or stop by the science lab.
