Dear Parents... From Dr. Whitt

The word of the month is COURAGE! We encourage families to discuss it and recognize it every-day acts!
What does courage mean?
Doing the right thing even if it is difficult.
Facing your fears with confidence - being brave.
What are some ways you can show courage?
Be willing to try new things, even if you might fail.
Do not give into negative peer pressure.
Can you name some people who have shown courage?
Rosa Parks, Martin Luther King, Susan B. Anthony, soldiers, police officers, fire fighters

Go, Mustangs!

Last year we introduced the Meadows e-Directory which is an app where you will find Meadows family contact info, teacher class lists, sponsor info, etc.  Many of you downloaded the app (which works with iPhone and Android devices) and created an account last year; if you already have an account, you do not need to do anything new for this year.  Just log in as usual and the directory information will be updated for the 2016-2017 school year.

If you are new to Meadows, you should have received an email from DirectorySpot with directions on how to create an account.

Grades of Green Tip of the Week

5/9/17 0 Ever wondered what the sticker on your apple or cucumber means?

When you see a sticker on produce at the grocery store, that sticker tells you about what you are buying. A 4-digit number lets you know that the fruit or vegetable was grown conventionally. A 5-digit number beginning with a 9 indicates that it is organic produce, and a 5-digit number beginning with an

8 means that the item has been genetically modified (GMO). Use the stickers as a guide to make the healthiest choices for your family!
